Downtown Charlotte is full of things to do.  In order to get the full experience you should get out and walk to get a full view.  If you are looking for a good place to eat or night club to relax and have fun check out Club Stir.  It located on N. Tyron St., has two DJs with two dance floors.  Great mix drink specials and ladies get in free on saturdays before 10pm.  This street holds a lot of different club and bar scenes. The one you pick is  up to you.

A fun and entertaining way to learn more about Charlotte history, public art and architecture is to take the free, 90-minute guided walking tour offered by the city's official Visitor Info Center, 330 South Tryon Street (in the Charlotte Chamber building). The tour is conducted each Friday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. You'll go inside several of Uptown's major buildings, see frescoes by noted artist Ben Long, learn the meaning of the four massive statues at Independence Square by sculptor Raymond Kaskey, and hear fascinating stories of how the city began and grew. The tour includes a portion of the historic Fourth Ward residential area as well as Settler's Cemetery, the final resting place of Charlotte founder Thomas Polk.
