Stayed 1 night at this property. First let me say I've very picky about hotels and cleanliness and it's been a while since I've stayed at a hotel that wasn't the Four Seasons. So, the fact that I give the Residence Inn a glowing report says a lot about this property. The staff was helpful and knowledgable upon check-in and while answering our many questions about the area. Our room was spacious and had a view of the Charlotte skyline. Most importantly, the room was very clean (no stray hairs to be found!). Wow! Another plus was the breakfast buffet.
On the negative side, the mattress wasn't all that great-my husband and I would slide toward the middle by the morning, but it's fine for a few nights. And it kind of seems unneccessary to charge $10/day for parking in Charlotte-I mean this isn't NY.
But all in all, a wonderful stay. Loved the cleanliness of the room!!!

We stayed here for a short 1-night getaway and were very satisfied. The hotel is much newer and nicer than the average Residence Inn. The rooms are large, the lobby is nice and the breakfast buffet is great. They also offer a shuttle to places in the uptown area. We used this to go to dinner and then took a $5 cab ride home, since we got in after midnight.

We had never been to Charlotte before, but this is a good location if you are OK walking a little bit to the restaurants and not being in the middle of everythin. Walking to the city center is do-able on a nice day if you aren't in high heels. In hind site, I would have preferred staying at the Marriott City Center, as it is right in the heart of everything- next door to bars, restaurants, etc.. The Residence Inn is good though and is just a minute drive to Uptown, there is just not much immediately around it. We might just be lazy, but this was our trip to discover the city!

We spent 4 nights in a 1 bedroom suite at this hotel. We have stayed at a Residence Inn previously and had a good experience so we decided to try another one. We were not disappointed. The lobby was clean and inviting. The hotel has a large breakfast area, a business center with computer, printer and ATM, a small self serve grocery area, a nicely equipped fitness area and a free shuttle to downtown.
Our room on the eighth floor was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. We stayed in a unit with a full kitchen complete with microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher as well as a full size refrigerator and small table and chairs. There were start up supplies on the table and dishes, silverware and cooking pots and utensils.
A complete breakfast was included in our room rate. The food was plentiful and tasty. Many healthy options were available. My husband is very health conscious and had no difficulty with his selections. Coffee and tea are available all day and there is a lovely happy hour Monday thru Thursday. There is a nice bar for evening cocktails.
Above all, the staff was what made our stay so pleasant. The entire front desk staff was friendly and often went out of their was to help us. One staff member even dropped us off at a car repair shop on his was home from work to save us the walk. This was extraordinary service.
We walked all over downtown from the hotel with very little effort. In addition, my husband ran each morning throughout the city area and found it slightly hilly but very enjoyable.

I was at the hotel for one night last week. We stayed there using Marriott points while we were in town for a concert at the arena.

All in all a very nice hotel. It had all the expected amenities of a Residence Inn. The room was somewhat smaller than other Residences I have stayed at, but was perfect for our needs.

I think the location was good, but don't know much of the area. I think we'd stay closer to the "downtown" section were we to go back to Charlotte, but that would simply be a matter of preference.

No complaints at all about the stay. Breakfast was good and the hotel was very clean

I have stayed in many hotels and the service/ experience in this hotel was spectacular. We were in town on business and extended so we could experience the southern culture.

Rooms: The rooms were large and clean. Microwave, refrigerator, glasses/plates, dishwasher, couch. Nice view of the city and directly next to the football stadium. The rooms were always cleaned in a prompt manner as well.

Parking: $10 per day

Service: The girl at the front desk is also the concierge. She was eager to help and gave us great recommendations (Mac's for BBQ). She took the initiative to handwrite the directions because the GPS may be inaccurate due to the construction in the city.

Food: Fresh Baked cookies in the afternoon during the week. Every night during the week free Beer and free appetizers. They also give everyone a free hot breakfast buffet...sausage, biscuits, etc.

Shuttle: They have a free shuttle that will take you and pick you up anywhere in the city vicinity. The driver is very nice and has some great insight into the local food and culture.

I would not think about staying anywhere else in the city.
