This hotel lived up to my expectations based on the reviews I read on "TripAdvisor". This hotel is very nice and comfortable. Four star personified. The adjoined mall was a good place to window shop.

My wife and I stayed at the Omni in one of their junior king suites.
The bed was comfortable and the view - although most of downtown Charlotte was under construction, was okay. The only complaint I had was that the construction went around the clock so at night when you're trying to sleep, it was a bit noisy.

Word of advice - Don't eat anything in the room; it's terribly expensive. $3.00 for a small O/J, $2.50 for can drinks and snickers -ouch!

The room wasn't as big as it's led to believe in the photos and the bathroom could have been bigger, but nonetheless we enjoyed it.

My stay at this Omni was a total disappointment. For the money, it's just not worth it. I have stayed at Pittsburgh Omni, not good either, but the Charlotte one is worse! It's one thing after another: bed bugs and flying bugs in the room, hair dryer sounds like it's almost going to set on fire, took 10 mins to wait for elevators (they were all only going down, not up, and would not stop for 10 mins!), in-room breakfast was late. What's worst is one day when I got back to the room, the door was not closed all the way. Someone could have walked in and took everything from my room! I called the manager immediately and they really didn't have a good explanation of how it could even happen. I would not stay at any Omni.

The hotel exterior and lobby look great, but the room that we were allocated had multiple large stains on the carpet and the bathroom faucets were covered with mildew. The beds were comfortable, but it was hard to have confidence in the cleanliness. I travel frequently and stay at a range of hotels - this hotel does not meet basic 4 star standards. For the price - go to the Westin.
