I stumbled across the Drury hotel by accident and boy what a surprise it was. I booked the room for me and another couple for a event in Charlotte. one Double room for me and a King room for them. Room was regualt 109 but they had a discount going which dropped it to 86.99. None of us ever heard of this hotel and was a little weary. After reading up on posts on this website I felt a little better (Also thanks for the warning on the entrance lol)

Checking in was a breeze!!! Took all of 5 mins and the front desk clerk Gina was wonderful!!!!(More on that later) They gave us the info Free Hot Breakast, Free Internet in Room and gave us our 3 Free Alcohol beverage at the bar that night.(Very nice touch) And explained how the parking lot was secure and only people with a room keey can gain access.(Wife loved this)

We went to our rooms and even though the double room was a little smaller than other places and the beds were kinda small the room was VERY clean! When it comes to clean Drury Hotel does it right. We settled in our room and checked out the pool.( An indoor ourdoor was fun for the group) a large rack of towels were there for us to use and they kept checking on us to make sure we had everything. Also I noticed everytime I looked someone at the hotel was cleaning something either the carpets, windows, waste baskets, anything.

Now the staff was great!!!! Everytime I walked down the hall and either a maid or someone met me in the hall they smiled and asked how you were doing or good morning/Evening. And the front desk clerk Gina. She is an ANGEL!!! After our swim my wife and her friend had a craving for starbucks. I asked Gina for diretions and she nailed them perfectly and was friendly. We also asked her about a good place to eat. There were alot of chain restarants around the area. She suggested a place next door that was a small chain and not as well know but the food was great and she actually loaned me HER Personal copy of the menu to show my group. Finally at breakfast before we checked out we wanted to go the mall and not knowing the area I asked where they are and what time they open. She was not sure what tiem they opend but gave me directions and I thanked her (AGAIN) When I was checking out to my surprise when I came back she had actually printed a map to the mall and wrote in the opening times!!!! Now that is service for a mid-level hotel!!!

Overall my whole group was very impressed with this hotel. All the free stuff, clean rooms, and friendly people I wish this chain was in more places!
