We recently stayed here for one night while traveling through Charlotte. We did not have reservations, but stayed here because it was the first Hampton Inn that we came to that had availability for the night. The front desk staff was nice and accomodating. We had gotten a room with 2 double beds, but then asked if we could be moved to a king room, and they changed us right away. It is an older hotel, but it is still in nice shape. The rooms are average size and ours appeared to be very clean. We didn't use the pool or eat breakfast, but otherwise our stay here was nice. It is in an okay area, around a lot of businesses, but was also within a very short distance to some nice restaurants. The only problem that we encountered was upon checking out we asked about purchasing one of the lap desks that are in the rooms, and the person at the front desk replied that she didn't know, and that there was no one else there at the time. If ever in the area again, I would consider staying here.
