I'm heading to Charlotte for business and staying at the Blake Hotel - and yes, I know, you don't have to tell me.
I'm going to need to be spending a lot of time in a local coffee shop working; it needs to be a place with a comfortable table, plenty of room and, this is critically important, lots of power jacks so I'll know I'll be able to get one. I'll be ordering mocha after mocha while I make sense of my documents.
Any suggestions? Anything Uptown will do. I won't have a car, but I'm from New York City so I'm undaunted by walking and buses.
Also, any suggestions for a good Southern breakfast while I'm there? Relatively close to the Blake would help, but I hear the Blake is in a desolate wilderness populated by hungry stray dogs (just joking!) so I'm fine with having to walk. I do love properly cooked grits and crispy hash browns, both of which are pretty difficult to get in NYC. Mmm. Starch.
