Relocating-Rock Hill or Fort Mill? |
|
I am the single parent of a 9 year old girl. I think I want to move to Rock Hill or Fort Mill. It seems the Fort Mills schools might be the best. My first priority is to find a great school and my second is to live in a house where she would have plenty of kids to play with. My price range is 100K to 170K. Can anyone point me to the best areas? Is Fort Mill a better place then Rock Hill? My job will require me to manage 10 stores in Charlotte and 7 stores in Columbia. I will need before and after school child care. Would one place be better then another? Any information you have would be appreciated. Thank you, Fred |

If it were me I'd look first in Fort Mill.

a little over a year ago we too came from CA. We ended up in Tega Cay (which is right next to Fort Mill-and within the Fort Mill School District). We are very pleased with our choice and we second the vote for Fort Mill. Check out www.allentate.com for real estate. Take care and if you need any more info just leave a post.

Do not move to Rock Hill for the schools!!!!
|
Hi, I live in Fort Mill and it is great. Do not move to Charlotte. The city government and schools are horrible. That is why we moved to Fort Mill. We are currently selling a house in the Fort Mill area with a neighborhood playground and a lot of kids in the 8-15 age range. We are building a house in Fort Mill 2 miles down the road. If you are interested let me know. It is well within your price range.
