When you are in a profession where you are required to travel a lot for longer durations you become very choosy . After all , its going to be your home for next couple of months. I frequently travel to Charlotte , North Carolina (U.S.) for a month or two and Residence Inn is where I prefer to stay as... more

I was here for a business trip for a week and it was long days over the weekend so was very tired. Was bothered one night by a Spider the size of a half dollar crawling across me on top of the covers. I got up to kill it and saw a black roach looking bug crawling across the floor.... more

We would recommend the suites to anyone who needs a home away from home. The suites have a kitchen unit which was very handy for more than a one night stay, which we did ( three nights). The room was excellent and the staff was very friendly, the continental breafast was very filling (waffles and egg sandwiches) as well as... more

My family just returned from staying at the Residence Inn at Charlotte University Research Park while my daughter's softball team participated in the NSA A Girls Fastpitch World Series. I was a bit concerned prior to arriving as I understood the hotel was undergoing renovations. While there were some minor issues that go along with renovations (workers and vehicles, minor... more

My family stayed here one night while returning home from a longer trip. The hotel is very comfortable, convenient and friendly. The room we stayed in was clean and quiet but showing signs of age. However, the whole complex is undergoing renovations so hopefully this will improve the condition of the rooms. This was the only thing that detracted from... more

Marriott should be ashamed to have its name associated with this Residence Inn. Our room had a tear in the carpeting the whole length of the room that housekeeping had attempted to fix with tape, the pull-out sofa was falling apart and had cigarette burns all over it, the draperies and bedspread were yellowed and threadbare, the kitchen blinds had... more

This was a very nice place to stay for an extended weekend. The kitchen had all the items you have at home including a dishwasher, ice maker in the refrigerator and full oven/stove. The unit was very clean and the staff was pleasant and very helpful. The pool is nice and although you are very close to highway 29, they... more

Large rooms-bigger than some apartments. We stayed in a 2-room suite that had a seperate bedroom with a queen bed. Full kitchen, 2 full baths, dining area, living area with full sleeper sofa and fireplace. The room was clean and well kept. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and cookware. There is a large outdoor pool with hot tub and... more
