We got a great rate on this hotel through Priceline, and I was a little concerned after reading some of the previous review that we might not be happy with the Hilton. We were most pleasantly surprised! I would have paid a lot more for the quality of our experience. The front desk and bell staff were extremely friendly and... more

I was hesitant to stay here based on several negative Trip Advisor reviews but this met my desire for newly-renovated rooms so we went ahead and stayed for 2 nights in April 08. No problems at all, a very nice hotel, great location downtown. THE GOOD: rooms completely re-done in April 07. Nice marble entry (much better than the normal... more

I had an enjoyable stay at the Hilton Charlotte Center City, and I would say this hotel is fairly comparable to my experiences at brands such as Renaissance, Sheridan, and Marriott. The room seemed to be a little on the small side in comparison, but it didn't feel cramped. Our bathroom featured a shower and bathtub, but I believe the... more

With reservations for attendance to the Audiology Convention we were told at 5pm that although they had our reservation that there was a massive late check out and there were currently no rooms available. The rooms were in the process of being cleaned. The clerk asked for our phone number and said it should be about 30 minutes. After about... more

After hotwire gave this hotel a 4 star, i felt excited to try it out (especially since I got such a good price), but after my 4 hour drive, i was disappointed in a few ways. First I reserved the room for 4ppl, 2 kids, 2 adults. I wound up getting 2 DOUBLE beds, which was awful. The comfort of... more

Nice hotel close to the convention center. It's about a block away from the convention center, an easy walk through the back entrance/exit. The convention center is between the Hilton and the Westin. Close by is a Hampton and Garden Inn. The hilton entrance is probably closest of the three, especially if you're making a run for it in the... more

Stayed 3 nights. Rooms are medium size, with the best feature being large flat screen TV, but as previously mentioned no premium channels. Limited drawer space. Restaurants under construction, so buffets set up for B, L and D. Looked picked over and tired with long lines. Room service for breakfast very prompt. Asked days ahead for fridge for medication, but... more

Arrived late Fri night after driving from Washington, DC to visit relatives. Hotel charges $18 for parking on weekends but if you pay directly at the exit booth, it's only $5 so DON'T include your parking with your room. While the hotel has been recently remodeled, the workmanship is unsatisfactory. On the 21st floor the carpet is so badly stained... more

There were so many promising aspects of this hotel that I really hoped for an excellent experience. However, all of the wonderful aspects are tempered by some negatives that should to be addressed. The positives: The location is excellent -- 2 minute walk to the Convention Center, adjacent to a light rail station and minutes walking to downtown Charlotte. Taxi... more

Stayed here two nights for a business meeting in the hotel, so I can't speak too much to how convenient the location was. Currently, all of the guest rooms have been renovated, according to the signs we saw at the hotel (as of Jan 16th). They've also redone all of the common floors except for the lobby and the restaurants,... more
