This is a good choice for anyone wanting to take advantage of Charlotte restaurants and museums. It is right across the street from the performing arts center and close to many good restaurants. Our room was comfortable but a bit small (we were using points, so small was o.k.) Fitness center and pool were a good size for a downtown... more

I stayed here with my teenage daughter for an athletic event in downtown. We booked this property on Priceline for $75 a night. Check in was fast, they had no trouble finding a room with two beds. The hotel is blissfully smoke free in all areas. A cigar bar next to the property has a completely separate entrance, so no... more

Pulled up to the Valet at about 4PM Saturday to check in. Uniformed Valet asks "Are you Checking In and would you like to Valet your car?" I say yes to both questions. He then comes back to me and says the Valet is full and I will have to self park. First time I have ever encountered a Valet... more

We stayed at the Marriott for one night while attending a game in Uptown Charlotte. The hotel itself was very nice, from the lobby to the pool, workout room, staff, I really can't complain at all. I felt like I was staying at a very upscale property, but the price was not bad at all. The room was very clean,... more

Stayed for one night in uptown Charlotte for a night alone with my wife. The hotel is located right in the middle of what is known as uptown Charlotte. There are a ton of great restaurants within close walking distance including upscale chains as Ruth Chris, Morton's and McCormick & Schmicks, as well as many non-chains. Nightlife is great in... more

Nice pool, good exercise room, morning breakfast OK. Stayed in a small suite for 270 $/night with wireless and cable Internet, plasma TV, very comfortable bed - but the bathroom and the closet were very small. more

I stayed at this hotel while in town for a convention, and I had a very nice stay. The best thing about the hotel is the location. If you can't find a place to eat or have a few drinks in this area, then you're not looking. It's also within reasonable walking distance to the convention center. I agree with... more

Charlotte is great city and this Marriot is a great location within the city. My stay was great and I love thier breakfast buffett for $15.95. This location meets the Marriot standard and the location is central to everything. There is a free trolley shuttle that runs along Trade Street and Tryon Street, which is the intersection location of this... more

I really liked the linens used in the room...very comfortable bed, decent view of the highrises from our room, clean room, helpful staff, in walking distance to Discovery Place (and Body Worlds). Also, lots of restaurants in the area. Next time I will try to get a room at the end of the hall, to best avoid loud guests coming... more

This is a nice "little" Marriott. The rooms along with the bathrooms are small. However, we were very comfortable. We were there for the Whispers concert and I must say the hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The room was spotless and there were plenty of soft white towels. Our rate included breakfast for... more
