My best friend and I stayed at the Hilton University Place for 3 nights for the ACC Tournament. The hotel is located in an office park/shopping area near UNC-Charlotte and about a 10 to 15 minute drive from "Uptown" Charlotte. The hotel has been recently renovated (with some finishing touches still going on in the lobby). The rooms had new,... more

I stayed here for a seminar. There was construction taking place at the hotel, but it was not noisy or disruptive. One day the tile was being replaced in the lobby and you had to walk around yellow tapes, etc. but it was not a big deal. There were a number of things that were especially good about this property--free... more

Booked on Priceline for $45 a night, so it was a great value. The hotel was very nice and modern. I arrived after 10PM and left by 8 pm the next morning, so I didn't get to experience a lot of the amenities, but the beds were comfy and the room was clean. more

I checked in online in the morning before we left Richmond for the drive down I-85 to Charlotte. I'd booked a room with two double beds and it was showing online as unavailable and gave me a choice of several other smoking rooms on the non-Exec level floors despite my profile suggesting I was after non-smoking rooms. Following the lengthy... more

This is my 2nd visit to this hotel. The hotel has gone under a lot of renovations. I would say that I loved everything, except the brown hallways. It makes it a bit dark. The rooms are now phenomenal. Great service from concierge, drivers, and employees. more

I stayed here for a business trip and loved my experience. I was given a newly renovated room on an upper floor and it was very nicely done. The hallways were even freshly painted with new carpet in an attractive color scheme. I was impressed with the size of my room. It was very large for a standard hotel room.... more

We spent one night here. I wish we could have stayed longer. We were really impressed. The location is really great. A beautiful lake and boardwalk area is right at the rear of the hotel. There are paddle boat rentals at the lake and all the shopping and dinning you can handle. You could spend a weekend here and never... more

Stayed here in late May for 2 nights on business. Got a competitive rate, and a really nice room with a King bed on upper floor; hotel is in the process of renovating and I believe I got one of the newly re-designed rooms. The room included a nice spacious work desk and comfy chair, although internet at $9.95/day seems... more

When we reserved the room for only $100, I thought this was probably going to be just another inexpensive room at an adequate hotel. We were really surprised when we checked in. The room was very luxurious. It was nicely appointed, recently upgraded and very clean. There were lots of extras like a lighted makeup mirror, nice coffee maker with ceramic... more

I spent\\\ one night at the Hilton Charlotte University Place. The room was quite nice and the beds very comfortable. The staff wasn't the most friendly, but it did not present any issues. The bar area is VERY tiny for such a large hotel; however, the food was absolutely delicious. The hotel is situated in the middle of a shopping/restaurant... more
