We were searching for a reasonably priced room to stay the night and this fit the bill perfectly. The cost was around $81.00 for two adults. Makes me wonder who stays here when the Charlotte Police check someone in with trash bags. Lobby smells bad. Floor in elevator is ripped up. Filthy chair in the room. Carpet is stained. The Microtel was clean, staff was generally nice (morning lady did nothing but talk loudly on her phone, however) and it was great for the price paid. Be sure to ask for the "out of towners" rate, $36+tax. Because it has interior corridors and is set a few feet back from the road, the Microtel is really the best option... more

This hotel has no class!! The owner and general manager is Arabic and he was a jerk. You cannot complain because the person who you complain to is the owner. I put my inlaws up at this hotel 7-19/20. I went up with them to help them move in and see the hotel. The room was about the size of a cruise ship stateroom with a very large bathroom. The staff is undeniably WONDERFUL!The rooms are updated and big. Beds-big and comfortable.
