Live in Virginia and use Charlotte airport as primary. Stayed once in December and left auto while in Cancun. Stayed twice in May and left auto while in Oregon. Room was clean on all three occasions and security of auto excellent. (Out front and under lights) Sam and all desk clerks are very courteous and helpful and correct any problems... more

I stayed there overnight on the way home from Antigua. The free shuttle to and from the airport was great, and the hotel is situated very close to the airport. My daughter and I stayed there the night of 3/6/09 because the first leg of our flight to Okinawa, Japan, left Charlotte airport at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, 3/7. If you have a layover in CLT, I highly recommend the Microtel. For around $50 per night, you get a free shuttle bus, a nice continental breakfast, 24-hour coffee and tea, a really comfy bed, free wi-fi in the room, along with unexpected amenities like a hair dryer in the room , friendly staff, and a million cable channels. I slept with my clothes on (thank goodness I had brought my own pillow). When I pulled the covers back to get ready for bed, in between the pillows was a used DIRTY rag. The first room I was in was indescribably disgusting. So I went to the front desk to get a cleaner room. The second room was a modest improvement. I found a beer bottle cap in the shower drain, pubic hairs all over the bed, soiled sheets, dirty towels, and a smoke-free room that reeked of smoke. Awesome. I'm so glad... more
